How many vampires does it take to fix a light bulb?
None, vampires like the dark!
Time flies when you’re having fun! Looks like I’m about out of email time again, thanks to all the love and support I get!
Hope y’all had a fun Halloween! We had a grand time in Garner! We got to volunteer at this event called ‘Trick or Treat the Trails’ and we passed out 4000 pieces of candy! There is this beautiful bike trail at White Deer Park and a bunch of booths are set up along it and a bunch of kids dress up and got lots of candy from all the booths. THE LEAVES ARE VIBRANT! Sister Wilson and I dressed up as Salt and Pepper. I thought it was super clever. This was all Friday, October 30th. After that we got to go to the Garner Ward’s Trunk or Treat/Chili Cook off. One of our investigator’s Ashley came with her 3-year-old and they had a good time and the ward was very welcoming. On Halloween we did regular missionary visits during the day and then at night we went over the a member’s home, the Hansen’s and ate some of Sister Hansen’s homemade donuts and hung out! It was fun!!
On the more spiritual side of things guess what!?!??!?!? Eduardo met with us twice this week and has a baptismal date for December 19th! We met with him on Tuesday and got to know him a bit more and took him on a church tour and introduced the Book of Mormon. Our last part of the tour was the baptismal font and we invited him to be baptized and he said yes! We met with him again on Wednesday and taught him the restoration. At the end of the lesson we got down on our knees and after a little encouragement, convinced Eduardo to say the closing prayer, even though he hadn’t prayed out loud before, or in a long time. It took us a few minutes of sitting on our knees in silence before he would actually start praying, but as soon as he said, “Dear Heavenly Father” the spirit intensely entered the room and demanded to be felt! His prayer was so heart felt and simple and I will forever remember that experience. He came to church on Sunday and we handed him off the the Elders.. Sad day. But it will be good for Eduardo and for the Elders!
April came to church today! She couldn’t get her family to come because they were having a ‘Halloween Hangover’. But guess what? She loved church AND during fast and testimony meeting she got up and bore her testimony!!!! It was a beautiful testimony about Christ and her story. She is so awesome and I love her lots!
So transfers are this week and plot twist! Sister Wilson is being transferred tomorrow and a new Sister is coming to Garner! Sister Wilson has only been here for 6 weeks so it was a shocker! But I’m glad I can stay in Garner cause I just love it so much and so many good things are finally starting to happen!
Love y’all! Keep Brooke Hannig and her family in your prayers! Prayer is a real power. Please take the time to pray for them.
I braided April’s hair 🙂
Salt and Peppa!
